2021 Summer Student Application

Dear Families,

21st Century Community Learning Center (21CCLC) programs receive federal funding to provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for students. Schools qualify for participation in 21CCLC based on their free & reduced lunch rate or Schoolwide Title status.

Through 21CCLC, SEEC receives a federal grant to subsidize the cost of fees for families at qualifying schools. The afterschool program is operated by the South East Education Cooperative (SEEC) in partnership with your school district.

APPLICATION

Please complete the application below for your student(s) interested in attending the summer program. Applications are due by April 2nd.

Your application will be reviewed and by April 16th you will be emailed if your student(s) has been accepted into the summer program. Submission of the application does not mean that your student will have a spot in the program. Per the Department of Public Instruction's guidance, our program uses a rubric to select students to participate. Each site is able to accept a different number of students which depends on the space available to the program at school and staffing. If you are offered a spot, you must respond by April 23rd to confirm your spot.

If we do not have a spot available, you will be notified that your student(s) has been placed on the waitlist. We will let you know if any additional spots have opened by April 30th.

FEES

Summer fees include a 1) deposit to hold your spot AND a 2) a summer session fee. Do not send any fees until you receive email notification of acceptance. Upon acceptance, the fees will be due:

Deposit: May 14

Summer Session Fee: By the first day of programming

Timely payment of fees is crutial for us to be able to continue offering school year and summer programming. Our federal grant does not cover all of the expenses and the program cannot continue without payment of fees. Please note that scholarships are available on the basis of need.

The registration fee and summer session fee are listed below by site location. All fees are per student. If families have multiple students attending the program and are not able to afford the total amount, you may request a scholarship.

We are looking forward to providing quality out of school time programming for your student this summer!
