FAQs
When will I find out if I have been selected to participate?
We will notify applicants of their participation status within the week of each deadline (early decision and final). All accepted presenters and non-presenting participants will complete a 30-minute CliftonStrengths assessment (designed to help you identify your talents) to finalize registration and reserve your spot. Additionally, those selected to present will participate in a short, virtual conversation with an Office of Academic Enrichment staff member to discuss their presentation.
Are there limited spots available?
Yes, we encourage students to submit by the early decision deadline (or as soon a possible after) to increase their chances of acceptance, especially if you are applying to present.
Can I register as a non-presenting participant now and apply to be a presenter later?
Yes, you are welcome to complete the form now as a non-presenting participant, and re-submit if you decide you would like to apply to present.
This summit is for emerging leaders in the sophomore class. Does this mean I need to be a leader or have leadership experience to apply?
Although we welcome those who self-identify as leaders and/or those with formal leadership experience to participate in the summit, this event is also for students who are hoping to develop as leaders, learn more about themselves and gain valuable experiences, and make connections with classmates who share these interests.
