Winter Camp 2023/24:

January 1st - 5th

Our camps are available for children ages 5 to 12. This is a structured program designed to build strong skills in riding, horsemanship and stable management.

The goal is not only to teach horseback riding in a fun-filled environment but also teaches the importance of safety when working with horses but also respect, responsibility and care towards fellow riders and horses.

The information collected in this form will be used for internal records and scheduling ONLY. We will NOT distribute this information to any third parties.

What Campers Need to Bring

Peanut free lunch with lots of snacks
LOTS of water, we recommend bringing a minimum of 1 litre
Lots of layers, hand warmers, toe warmers, dry socks, etc.

What Campers Need to Wear

Your own ASTM Approved Riding Helmet. Rental available from DME Academy at an additional cost
Long pants such as jeans or leggings for riding (No Shorts, Capris or Skirts)
Sturdy boots that cover the ankle with at least a 1” heel such as rain boots
If you have riding attire such as breeches, paddock boots & half chaps you can absolutely wear these
Thin gloves such as gardening gloves (optional)

12:00 pm to 12:30 pm	Lunch Break
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.	Group A: Riding lesson Group B: Vaulting
1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.	Group A: Vaulting Group B: Riding lesson
2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.	All Groups Groom & Untack Horses
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm	Group Games
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm	After Care

One day of camp: $90.00 per day

After Care 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm: $20.00 per day

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY (Attaching to and forming part of Policy #EA00091)

In consideration of being allowed to participate in equestrian sport of MJM Equestrian Centre, including related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

1) The risk of injury from the activities involved in equestrian sport are significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

2) I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participations; and,

3) I willingly agree to comply with the rules and customary terms and conductions for participation. If however, I observe an unusual significant hazard during my presence of participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,

4) I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS MJM Equestrian Centre and Daisy Meadows Equestrian, their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises, used to conduct the equestrian sport (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss of damage to person or property, WHETHER CAUSE BY THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
