STS TRIP EXPERIENCE

Thank you Sisters for your interest in one of our STS trips!  We appreciate your interest in booking with us as we know there are a lot of other companies you can book with.

To ensure that you do not miss any booking details, please review the statements below. 

1. Sisters Traveling Solo trips are for current Facebook members or "confirmed" members of our Sisters Traveling membership program. Members are our membership program are confirmed once they receive an confirmation email from Sisters Traveling Solo. If Sisters Traveling Solo is unable to verify trip attendees membership based on the contact information provided, or cannot confirm that trip attendee is a woman based on my Facebook profile my deposit will be refunded. *
2. Sisters Traveling Solo has the right to refuse trip attendees deposit for any reasons. *
3. This trip does not include international airfare. *
4. All payments made to Sisters Traveling Solo Travel Group or tour operators are non-refundable and non-transferable. Except as detailed below within the section titled Refund Policy. *
5. Not all places have familiar standards of the Western world (customer service, service times, food variety, air conditioning, ice, straws, cold water, cultural, religious norms, transportation, facial towels, etc.). Sisters Traveling Solo encourages all guest to research on our destination before the trip is booked so that each guest is well aware of the conditions of where we are traveling. *
6. During periods of the trip I may or may not be able to access wifi. And that sometimes the wifi signal can be spotty. Sisters Traveling Solo cannot guarantee working wifi or internet at anytime during the trip. *
7. Double occupancy is a shared room with two beds. Double room bed type for this trip is two twin beds. Guest can pay additional cost for single occupancy which is non shared room with one bed. After the deposit is paid, Sisters Traveling Solo will not accept any changes to room type. Hotel stay may require a security deposit for each room. Trip attendees are responsible for that deposit. The deposit is a hold that will be applied to your credit card and then released after check out. *
8. Any trip attendee who does not have a roommate at least 2 months before the trip departure date that Sisters Traveling Solo will assign them a roommate. *
9. Sisters Traveling Solo will not reimbursement any trip attendee if any part of the trip is missed for any reasons. This includes but are not limited to late arrival due to flight delays, early departure, delayed airport transfers, etc. Sisters Traveling Solo will do our best to reschedule an activity given that rescheduling does not add any additional expenses to Sisters Traveling Solo. If Sisters Traveling Solo is unable to reschedule at no additional cost, there will be no reimbursement of any activity. *
10. Any airport transfers provided by Sisters Traveling Solo will be provided on the trip start date (5am - 11pm local time) and final day (12am - 11am local time) of the trip. If trip attendee arrives before the trip starts, arrive to the trip late, leave before the trip ends, arrives or departs outside of the said times, or stays longer than the trip last it is my responsibility to make my own lodging, local transport, and airport transportation. If Sisters Traveling Solo confirms that our driver is at the airport to pick guest up, and guest decides to book their own transport, there will be no reimbursement for airport transport given. In addition, Sisters Traveling Solo drivers will wait a MAX 30 minutes after the set transfer time/flight arrival time (if there are any delays) for participate to arrive at the pick up area. Our driver will leave after 30 minutes of waiting for the passenger. Sisters Traveling Solo will not reimburse any participate who misses the pre-arranged transfer. *
11. All trip attendees must sign up for the customer portal to receive and pay my invoices each month. Invoices are sent on the 5th of every month. Each trip attendee should alert Sisters Traveling Solo before invoice due date for some reason they have not received an invoice. Sisters Traveling Solo will send (1) invoice a month. *
12. All trip attendees are required to submit flight and travel insurance information to Sisters Traveling Solo at least 6 weeks before trip departure date. Sisters Traveling Solo will provide each trip attendee with a link to submit requested information. Sisters Traveling Solo will not accept any information that was asked to be submitted via a link via email. Guest should submit their information taking into account possible submission issues. *
13. Sisters Traveling Solo trips are planned over a year in advance and that the initial itinerary provided is subject. Circumstances may arise where we must make changes. Whatever occurs Sisters Traveling Solo will do everything in our powers to ensure that the trip goes on as planned. These changes may result in shorter breaks between activities or change of activity. An initial trip itinerary will be provided at least 10 weeks after the trip options for booking. *
14. Any trip related questions or concerns that I have should be emailed to tripsupport@sisterstravelingsolo.com AFTER I am confirmed as a trip attendee. Submitting a trip deposit is not confirmation of trip attendance. Non confirmed trip attendees should continue to email info@sisterstravelingsolo.com *
15. It is trip attendees responsibility to provide Sisters Traveling Solo with accurate contact information. Trip registration should be made in the name as it appears on trip attendees passport. *
16. Hotel Deposits. Sisters Traveling Solo covers the full price of each room; however, members may be asked for a credit card upon check-in for their room incidentals.  Sisters Traveling Solo will alert members when providing the final trip itinerary deposit amount required by the hotel.  *
17. Information Deadlines. All guest must submit all required trip information on time as requested by Sisters Traveling Solo. Guest trip is subject to cancellation if information is not received on time. All trip information is required based on the deadlines stated below in the "important deadline" section of this trip registration form. Sisters Traveling Solo will notify guest letting them know when any information is due and how to submit it. No special arrangements will be made if guest misses deadlines. Trips will not be restated once cancelled. *
18. Sisters Traveling Solo trips depart on time. Members will be provided with a final itinerary before the trip departure date. Sisters Traveling Solo will leave promptly at the time listed on the itinerary. Any guest not present at the time of departure is subject to be left behind. Sisters Traveling Solo will not reimburse anyone who misses an activity due to not arriving at the departure location on time. If there are any changes to the times of departure all guest will be notified in person or via Whatsapp. *
19. Sisters Traveling Solo prepays for airport transfers roughly 30 days before the trip based on arrival / departure times. Arrival flight delays are monitored by our transport companies whom in turn are able to wait for any guest who flight arrives late. In regards to departure times our transport companies are not as flexible. Guest should note that no changes to departure times or counts will be made less than 2 weeks out from the trip or during the trip. If guest provides their flight information to Sisters Traveling Solo after it is requested (1 month before departure) guest will need to arrange their own arrival and departure transfer. If guest departure flight is delayed, guest decides to take a different departure flight or make any other changes that cause a change in the departure time that was relayed to Sisters Traveling Solo a month before the trip; the guest can use the departure transfer provided by Sisters Traveling Solo at the time confirmed when providing the final itinerary or guest can arrange their own transfer at their own expense. *
20. Sisters Traveling Solo traveling trip payments are sent to customers on the 5th of each month. I understand that if i do not receive an email on the 5th of the month that it is my responsibility to notify Sisters Traveling Solo that an invoice was not received before the invoice due date of the 15th. I furthermore understand that I am still held to all trip payment due dates and cancellation terms if I decide not to alert Sisters Traveling Solo that an invoice was not received by the 5th of the month. *
21. Sisters Traveling Solo will provide trip attendee with a link to upload important trip information (passport, flight, insurance, or visa). Any information sent for any reason (including technical) via email will not be accepted or reviewed and does not meet our submission standards. *
22. Sisters Traveling Solo will alert trip participates if a COVID-19 test is required before entry into the Country. In addition, to the cost of the test. The cost of the test or any required COVID-19 vaccination are not included in trip cost. *

The ideal traveler for Sisters traveling Solo trips:
-someone who embodies patience and flexibility
- has a willingness to try new things
- has an appreciations and respect for diversity (e.g., people, customs, languages, religions)
- has a desire to learn, grow, evolve, is not a constant complainer, can engage with other trip goer's, can do a bit of research, and has an overall spirit of fun and adventure. ​
 
LOCAL CUSTOMS​
On our trips, we will interact with locals, working with them, and possibly be invited into their homes. We ask that attendees be respectful of local customs. Our cultural trips are focused on getting to know the people and are designed to be less touristy, which excludes significant tourist attractions.
 
PATIENCE
Sisters Traveling Solo will do our best to ensure that our trips run according to schedule. However, trip attendees should be aware that at times we run ahead or behind schedule. Attending our trips will require that participants are patient at times.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
Trip attendees should be aware that unlike the US, many of the places we visit may not have a variety of meal options to cater to restricted diets. Strict dietary restrictions may result in minimal food options for those attendees who may be vegan.

PRE-TRIP COMMUNICATION
Our pre-trip communication is done via email only. Essential documents are uploaded to our customer portal for review per the timelines listed in the section below. Any trip questions can be emailed to tripsupport@sisterstravelingsolo.com
 
ON-TRIP COMMUNICATION
Communication on the trip will be via WHATSAPP. All trip participates are asked to download the app before arrival into the country we are visiting.
 
INVOICING 
Invoices are available on the 5th of each month via the customer portal.  Sisters Traveling Solo does not provide invoices upon special request. Each customer will receive one (1) invoice per month on the 5th of each month.
 
If a customer wants to pay off a trip, they should email Sisters Traveling Solo at tripsupport@sisterstravelingsolo between the 1st and 5th each month. Sisters Traveling Solo will send out an invoice to pay off the remaining trip balance on or before the 8th of each month. Request to pay off trip invoice will only be accepted between the 1st and 5th of each month.
 
CUSTOMER PORTAL 
After booking, all customers will be sent an email with a link to our customer portal. Customers must sign up for this customer portal to access and pay monthly invoices. Customers should bookmark the customer portal site for future reference.
 
All relevant trip documents will be uploaded to the customer portal as outline in the critical trip document section of this trip registration form.

Additional information:

Sisters Traveling has built solid relationships with vendors we have worked with in the past, some of which we know can provide the on the ground service that we need. For some of our trips, the tour will be run by our local tour guide, and no Sisters Traveling Solo team member will be on the trip as we are 100% confident in the local team's ability to provide excellent service. Sisters Traveling Solo will be in daily contact with the local guide to ensure things are running smoothly, and members will also be able to contact us if there are any issues while on the trip.

WHEN/ WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

After 24 hours of submitting your deposit, there will be no switching to another trip or another trip week for any reason. Reasons include but are not limited to; you selected the wrong week, your friend or family could not book the same week as you, etc.). Sisters Traveling Solo will not approve any request to switch to another trip or another week. Please ensure you are booking the right week.

TOTAL PRICING

Full Payment Discount - $75 off total cost if full payment is made by 4/15/21. It cannot be used in conjunction with a $75 off membership discount. Anyone using a trip credit cannot apply our membership or full payment discount.

Payment Of Balance Over Monthly Period - Remaining balance over a monthly period (payments due on the 15th of every month regardless of when the deposit is made). The monthly payment can be calculated by taking the total trip cost minus the trip deposit and dividing it by the number of payments. Payments are due on the 15th of each month, regardless of when the deposit is made. Payments must be made on time.

Airport Transfers

Sisters Traveling Solo will provide group arrival transfers on the Dec. 27 2021 between 5 AM - 11 PM (local time) from Cape Town to host hotel.  And departure tranfer on Jan. 5, 2022 between 12 AM - 11 AM (local time) from Johanesburg hotel to airoort.  Trip ends in Johannesburg.

TRIP CANCELLATION TERMS

Trip Cancellation Due to Missed Payment: 

 

The trip will be automatically canceled after ONE missed payment. No refund of deposit or payments will be provided to a trip canceled due to missed payments. If the trip is canceled due to missed payments, the trip deposit cannot be applied to any future Sisters Traveling Solo trips. Attendees will be given a 3-day grace period after the 15th of the month to make their payment. If trip payment is not received by 11:59 pm EST on the 18th of the month, the trip will be automatically canceled.

 

Trip Cancellation Due to Missed Deadlines: 

 

The trip will be automatically canceled if required trip information is not provided by deadlines provided. Sisters Traveling Solo will alert the trip attendee once if their required information has not been submitted. Trip attendees will be required to submit the required trip information to avoid trip cancellation. The trip will be canceled after 24 hours if the requested information has not to be received.

Trip Cancellation Terms *

TRIP REFUND POLICY

24-hour cancellation.  

The trip deposit will be refunded upon request 24 hours after the trip has been booked. After 24-hours of booking, no refunds of deposits will be given.

Refund and Reimbursement Terms *

IMPORTANT TRIP DEADLINES

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT 

Flight information for all participates attending a Sisters Traveling Solo trip is required at least (6) weeks before trip departure. No flight booking assistance is provided by Sisters Traveling Solo unless included in the trip cost.

International Flight Submission Deadline:

All flight information must be submitted to Sisters Traveling Solo at least (6) weeks before the trip departure date. Any participant who fails to provide their flight information late is subject to complete trip cancellation without a refund.

(3) Months before the trip departure date, Sisters Traveling Solo will notify trip you via email the steps to submit your flight information. Flight information sent via email will not be accepted.   

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Sisters Traveling Solo requires that all trip participants purchase travel insurance. The minimum coverage amount for travel insurance is $150,000. We highly encourage you to buy travel insurance as soon as possible in case you have to cancel your trip so that if you have to cancel, your travel insurance policy to seek reimbursement. 

  • The minimum coverage amounts of $150,000 must include medical and evacuation. When adding the line item labeled medical in the travel insurance policy to the line item marked evacuation in the travel policy; that coverage amount must total at least $150,000
  • Sisters Traveling Solo does not provide recommendations on travel insurance carriers, and they all have different terms and policies. As a starting point in your search, we have provided articles that discuss travel insurance.

If the trip requires a visa, please read below:

  • The trip visa should be obtained before the trip departure date.
  • Sisters Traveling Solo does not assist in the process of getting a visa. Use of our Sisters Traveling Solo is one option you can use to purchase your Visa. Technical issues and delivery questions should be sent directly to VisaHQ.

Visa Submission Deadline:

Sisters Traveling Solo will require proof of Visa at least (3) weeks before the trip departure date.  

(3) Months before the trip departure date, Sisters Traveling Solo will notify you via email the steps to submit your Visa information. Visa information sent via email will not be accepted.     

 

PASSPORT

If the trip requires your passport information, please read below:

  • Required passport information may be needed when you sign up or after.
  • Participate confirmed passport information is required at least (3) months before the trip departure date.
  • Sisters Traveling Solo will book a participate flight with the most recent passport information provided.
  • Participate will be responsible for any fees associated with provided Sisters Traveling Solo incorrect, wrong, or expired information.  

Passport Submission Deadline:

(6) Months before the trip departure date, Sisters Traveling Solo will notify you via email the steps to submit your Visa information. Visa information sent via email will not be accepted.    

 

Failure to provide required information per the deadlines above will result in trip cancellation. Sisters Traveling Solo will notify the trip attendee if the required information has not been received on time. Trip attendees will be provided 24 hours to submit the requested information. After 24 hours, if the information has not to be received, the attendee's trip will be canceled.
