Hello Sister! Thank you for being so interested in becoming an STS Trip Captain.  Our Trip Captains will mainly provide on-the-ground customer service to our clients during their trip. This role does not involve any aspect of trip planning. You must be a team player, 21 years or older, love enacting with people, be able to oversee a group of 15 - 20 clients, be social, detail-oriented, meet deadlines, be punctual, be a team player, have flexible vacation time, and have a willingness to learn. 


As a Trip Captain, you will be required to sign both a confidentially and non-compete/solicitation agreement. And be subject to a background check before you are brought onto the team


To be considered for this role, you must:

- Be able to host a minimum of (4) trips a year. Trips will be assigned based on company needs. Trip duration can be from 5 - 12 days; assignment dates are non-negotiable.  You should not apply for this role if you have limited vacation days or schedule limitations. 

- Be based in one of the following cities (full-time): Atlanta, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Boston, New York (JFK and Newark), Dallas, Orlando, Paris, London, Cartagena, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Dubai, Bali 

- Must be illegally promitted to work in the based country.

- Must be fully vaccinated.

Trip Captain must consistently deliver a high level of customer service.


- Provide leadership for travelers and be responsible for their well-being.

- Continuously increase your knowledge about your local State/Country—the culture, religion, current affairs, environment, etc.

-Have detailed knowledge of host hotel(s), planned site visits, restaurants, transport, places to purchase souvenirs, fair prices, etc.

-Develop a series of information sources and contacts that can be of assistance when required.

- Maintain a valid passport and visa

- Keep vaccinations, preventive medication, medicial insurance, and travel insurance up to date.

-Be mindful of potential opportunities for Sisters Traveling Solo, such as new destinations, new markets, or ways to improve itineraries.


- Must have attended a Sisters Traveling Solo trip before applying for this role.

- Must be punctual. Our trips run on time, so our Trip Captains will be required to be early. Captains who are reported as being late during trip assignments will be released immediately.

- Must have organizational skills and pay attention to detail.

- Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships.

- Must be flexible and a problem solver.

- Must hold Leadership skills.
- Have the ability to work with a team and under the instruction of our Cole Banks (whose leadership style is very direct).

- Ability to work with little supervision or oversight.

- Must be available for a possible in-person interview if required.

- Cannot currently own or be associated with any other travel company or travel agency
- Expected start date: 2022

Additional Requirements:

- Must be able to attend all tour assignments in a given year (1 trip per quarter is the minimum requirement); we are not flexible on this requirement. If no trip is available in a given quarter you will be assigned two trips in the same quarter.
